Artist Statement
Godwin Kou is a well-known Atlanta based Chinese artist. He was born in Guangzhou (Canton) China. He started studying calligraphy and Chinese painting at early age. In 1985, his artworks were first showed in an exhibition held by the Museum of LuÃs de Camões in Macao.
Godwin specializes in watercolor painting. He uses a brush, ink and watercolor to paint on rice paper, silk, leaf, and canvas. He has participated the various art shows since 2008, and received many top awards from the art organization and art show promoters.
